BHLDN Decor.

May 8, 2011

I love the whimsical look of Anthropologie’s wedding chapter BHLDN. They’ve just recently added a new decor section filled with pretty adornments and keepsakes. Be sure to check out their full tabletop collection – I especially fancy the knotty pine treat pedestal!

Graham & Green.

April 4, 2010

I’m off to London in 6 weeks (for work!) and I’d love to pop by Graham & Green. I love the furniture pieces and home accessories- such pretty vibrant colours.

Les Néreides.

August 3, 2009

Nice was beautiful. Full of gems nestled in dimly lit corners. I found the boutique Les Néreides on one of its infamous streets. The french jeweler makes gorgeous hand crafted pieces; earrings, necklaces, bracelets. I bought my travel souvenir here, a hummingbird necklace.

My little brother and his lady are spending the weekend with me in Toronto. We stopped by Urban Outfitters {of course!} to replenish our wardrobes, and dreams.

The Swedish blog Husmusen is giving us a sneak peek at the anticipated H&M Home line. I’m so excited! But don’t run to your corner H&M just yet- the line is currently available in Europe only.

Tea Time: Crown & Crumpet.

February 22, 2009

I’m dying to snack at San Francisco’s  Crown & Crumpet. Married couple Amy and Christopher Dean opened the beautiful English style tea room in 2008, a follow-up to their successful Anglo-French antique store La Place Du Soleil.

February 16, 2009

My bosom friend, Julie, initiated me to the goodness of Sabon during my first trip to New York. Try these below for the best bubble bath experience.

In Toronto? There’s a store just north of Yonge on Eglinton that opened last Fall.

French Treasures.

February 1, 2009

There are certain days every Winter that lift the spirit. Sunny, warm, absolutely perfect Sundays. After a long brunch at Dakota Tavern with my favorite Toronto couple, we embarked on a vintage book journey. My book club is reading Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, and we have a competition to see who can find the oldest copy under $25 (Edit: $20). So far, the winner has found a mint condition 1939 copy. I have found a 1978 copy.

But while I was at Monkey’s Paw, I fell upon a Linguaphone French course book from the 1940’s- complete with detailed illustrations of one’s every day forties life.
