Canada Welcomes CB2!

January 20, 2012

Crate and Barrel’s modern, affordable sister CB2 is opening its door in Toronto this weekend, replacing the purple monster Big Bop and ending its long reign over the Bathurst and Queen corner. IKEA should be worried – a peek at CB2’s website confirms their pretty stuff could rival IKEA’s stronghold on Toronto’s student market. And it’s much, much closer!

Of course, I couldn’t be happier. We’re moving (finally!) to the area next week and I could use a few things…

A. Type 39″ Clock, $199; B. Roundabout rug, starting at $349; C. Liquid round yellow bowl, $54.95; D. Signal floor lamp, $329; E. Cage fuel pendant lamp, $169; F. Naxos dinnerware, starting at $4.95; G. 3-prong red coat rack, $79.95; H. Posh barware, starting at $3.50; I. Knitted graphite pouf; $99.95; J. Contact stool, $149; K. Tux coffee table; $349.

Keri Russell’s Gorgeous Brownstone.

May 9, 2011

I’ve envied Keri Russell’s fabulous hair since her Felicity days but it’s her gorgeous Brooklyn brownstone that I covet now. Elle Decor‘s June issue features Keri and her contractor husband Shane Deary’s 1860 remodeled home – A collaboration project for the new parents.

Living Room Envy.

Have you peeked at the latest issue of Lonny Mag yet? I’m loving designer Lulu de Kwiatkowski’s home. I haven’t settled into a new place since I’ve returned from London so I’m on the lookout for room inspiration… and er, the perfect apartment!

IKEA 2011.

August 15, 2010

The new IKEA catalog is out! And though I won’t be receiving a copy across the pond, I’ve been scouring the online version for ideas and inspiration. My sister has just purchased herself a gorgeous new home (she’s moving next Spring!) and I’ve got big plans to help her paint and decorate.

Graham & Green.

April 4, 2010

I’m off to London in 6 weeks (for work!) and I’d love to pop by Graham & Green. I love the furniture pieces and home accessories- such pretty vibrant colours.

Bathroom Inspiration Board.

March 3, 2010

The bf and I are currently living amongst boxes (and might be doing so for another few weeks!) But there are a few rooms I’m in a rush to decorate, and the bathroom is certainly at the top of that list. Before our move, I painted the room a nice shade of Iceberg with Benjamin Moore’s Bath and Spa paint. Our vanity is walnut with a large white sink but lacks the storage space to accommodate my beauty supplies- To fix, I’m purchasing a shelving unit from IKEA in the same walnut shade. I’ll post up after pics of the bathroom soon!

{1. Marimekko Sarafan Cobalt shower curtain by Crate and Barrel; 2. AGEN basket by IKEA; 3. EXPEDIT shelving unit by IKEA; 4. Three piece glass canister set by Crate and Barrel; 5. Swimming with Dolphins photograph by Condé Nast online store; 6. Bath and Spa paint in Iceberg (2122-50) by Benjamin Moore; 7. Castino double hook by Umbra; 8. Aromatherapy candle in Lavender chamomile by Bath and Body Works; 9. White bath rug by Crate and Barrel; 10. Aromatherapy hand soap in Lavender Vanilla by Bath and Body Works.}

Montauk Sofa.

February 2, 2010

I love these Montauk sofas– I’ve had my eye on one for over a year. There’s a Montauk Sofa store on King St. East in Toronto, and I often sit there much to the clerk’s dismay. To top it off, Canadian company Montauk Sofa is a carbon neutral company!

I quite like Ochre‘s collection of furniture and accessories- especially the gorgeous chandelier below.
